Growing up with music in his family (mother played the piano, Grand father was a jazz musician) Don B was destined to be a musician/producer/songwriter. At the tender age of four, music distinction was started with a gift of a set of drums to Don B. The process was slow, and percussion was not necessarily Don B’s forte. At the age of 14, Don B’s sister was given a Bass Guitar. He thought to himself “hey, I can play this thing.†This is when he started to mimic artist such as Michael Bolton, and Whitney Houston.
The rhythm of the bass is what caught Don B’s attention. However the early days were very difficult. There was no one to teach him how to play, leaving him to teach himself. Music got better for him as time passed. Growing up playing gospel music has had a immense impact on Don B’s musical career.
Branching into the R&B/Hip-Hop world in 2007, Don B brought a curious prospective to the production of music; Thinking not only about music but the world around him and how it translates into the sounds that he produces.
With an emotional impetus to secure his place in the music industry, Don B has set out to cultivate his sound into mainstream music. Producing Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and southern sounds, Don B always tries to take his versatility to the next level.Look out music world here comes a profound man known as Don B.
