About Me

The John A. Bukowski Shelter for Animals is located in Bloomfield, NJ right off of exit 150N of the Garden State Parkway. The shelter accepts strays and surrenders from the towns of Bloomfield & Caldwell Borough. Adoptions are not restricted to only within the state, but vet references, personal references, and home visits are required. Adoption fees are $95 for dogs and $55 for cats.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a loving heart and open mind. Most homeless residents come in as strays and just need a little patience. The shelter has volunteers and trainers who work hard on getting to know the animals and making them as adoptable as possible.New volunteers are always needed to walk and socialize dogs or help clean cat cages and give them some attention as well. Volunteers are also needed in non-animal interaction capacities including PR, fundraising, outreach, etc.Visit ther shelter's Web site for current residents, hours, and contact info: John A Bukowski Shelter for Animals.
