In 1958 Eris Charles Mc Ewan was born in Buff Bay, Jamaica. When he was a child, he began dancing dances from ska to reggae. Music is his life! He got inspiration by U-Roy and Dawn Penn. At the age of thirteen he went to Port Antonio. Later he has been living in the capital of Kingston for some time. During this time in Kingston Eris studied the Sound System “In Crowdâ€, which DJ Tiger presented. A friend who knew Eris’ DJ- talent, introduced him to Tiger and proposed to give Eris a chance at the micro. Eris succeeded and had to play more and more pieces. This was the beginning of Jah Tiger’s carreer – Jah Tiger was born! Then Jah Tiger represented the Black Star sound and passed some time with Jah Love. Later he changed to Roots Majesty and went together with Chaka Demus. During this period of time Jah Tiger presented his music in nearly every performance in the city. During this time Warner Brothers made a film called “ Club Paradise†together with Jimmy Cliff among others. There Eris meet Jimmy Cliff. At the same time Warner Brothers planned a concert in the Trident Hotel in Dolphin Bay to present his singer Jimmy Cliff. Jimmy invited Jah Tiger to sing three songs with him. Jah Tiger joined Jimmy and became extremely successful. Jah Tiger is an original entertainer with a lot of humor and his attractive personality has got a direct influence on the visitors. In 1997 Jah Tiger came to Europe for the first time. He and Junior Murvin (Police & thieves) were invited by the Sunvibes crew from Iserlohn. In this time Jah Tiger has some Live-programm, he became from the public a very good resonance. He was playing amongst others with the Sunvibes crew, Riddim 1000, Sixth Revelation, Iqulah and Mikel Rose. In 2000 Jah Tiger went back to Jamaica. He worked in different studios and had some life performances with Louie Culture, Bushman, Linval Thomson, Tony Rebel, Everton Blender and other Jamaican artists. In 2003 Jah Tiger returned to Germany. Here he wrote new songs presented on his new CD “Don’t dis di manâ€. From 2005 to 2006 he collected experiences with Pachango, Bantaba, House of riddim, Jahcoustix, We and them from Italy, 1899 Band and Sharpax. His songs are charactericed by a lot of inspiration and originality, a sign of unchangeable artist’s work. In 2007 Jah Tiger will present another album, full of vibes, full of originality, a music with a positive news. His music and texts are necessary to be listened to by every Reggae lover. Always he presents himself with a special sort of entertainment. As a singer and entertainer with special feeling and lots of experiences Jah Tiger makes every party having a hot atmosphere and gives lots of people a special unforgettable experience.
