Ukrainian Records represents the music of various subdivisions (departments) of UMG in Ukraine. and covers 30% of the licensed CD market.
Ukrainian Records received an award for the successful recording at the Ukraine Music Awards 2003. Ukraine Musical Alliance has founded Record-business Award that marks companies which sales level of the licensed CD-s reached the “golden†status (over 25 000 copies sold), “platinum†status (over 50 000 copies sold) and “diamond†status (over 200 000 copies sold). Ukrainian Records had been marked in the following nominees: “platinum CD†for the albums «The Eminem Show» ant OST “8 milesâ€, “golden CD†for the album Rammsteins’ «Mutter», «Herzeleid», «Live Aus Berlin», «Sehnsucht» and for album «Era» of the same name band.
Besides the recording activity Ukrainian Records represents the rights of artists signed to Universal. The company provides the licensed videos to Ukrainian TV channels and audio tracks to Ukrainian radio stations.
The development of the Ukrainian show-business is also one of the important directions of the Ukrainian Records activity. The company signs contracts with Ukrainian artists, promoting them on the Ukrainian and world market. Alena Vinnitskaya was one of the first artists to release an album (“Rassvet†(“The Dawnâ€) with Ukrainian Records. Other artists are: Stereoliza (“X-amine Your Zippaâ€), Tabula Rasa (“Tsvetochnie Kalendari†– “Flower Calendarsâ€), LEONA (“Argumentsâ€), Katya Chilly (“Pivniâ€, “Ya – Molodaya†– “I’m Youngâ€).
Ukrainian Records also regularly takes part in various music events. The company always supports the live performances of UMG artists in Ukraine, like the Cardigans, Enrique Iglesias, De Phazz, Apocalyptica, the Black Eyed Peas, etc.
Organization of concerts, tours, performances and other mass actions is one of the directions of Ukrainian Records activity. Ukrainian Records concert agency books Ukrainian, Russian and international artists. The agency has exclusive rights to organize concerts of Ukrainian artists (Stereoliza, LEONA , Katya Chilly, Diversanty) and also to organize performances for Ukrainian, Russian and international artists on the territory of Ukraine.
