Born in Chicago, grew up in Atlanta. Got my first bass when I was 12
(a Fender Musicmaster), started writing tunes and singing 'em soon after.
Formed the rock band The Grapes in 1986. Took out a loan and bought an
Alembic Persuader custom. Toured nationally and released four cds with
that bass and those boys until we disbanded in 1997.Shifted gears musically and made the move to Nashville in 2002.
It's all about the song in this town and I write 'em and play 'em on
a four string Martin acoustic that's almost paid for.
