..Keeping Sanity came together in 2005. They began playing in local “Battle of the Bands†where they attracted quite a following. As a winning band, they were invited to play in the final battle, “The Clash of the Titansâ€. After winning “The Clash of the Titans†they started taking the band more seriously. Other battle of the band organizations began paying them to participate in their battles because Keeping Sanity brought in the crowds. This further encouraged the guys and they decided to participate and compete in GMA’s (Gospel Music Association) Music in the Rockies. Even though they entered into the competition against professional touring bands, Keeping Sanity won “Judges Choice†and was asked to play at Café Estes, their first real gig.After putting some of their music on My Space, Keeping Sanity was contacted by Illumina Records, working with Ground Control, to include one of their songs in a project benefiting the prevention of drinking and driving. This opportunity has lead to increasing publicity, including the cover of a future issue of “CUSP Magazineâ€.
