It all started in 1994 when i was studying carpentry in collage and i got talking to richard morris in my dinner hour, As we both were into guns'n'roses.
So we arranged a jamming session, (well more like to teach me how to play the guitar.)
Richie had been playing the guitar for about a year before he taught me
my first song which was knocking on heaven's door.
I then mentioned that we should start a band and get out there and do some rocking of our own!!!!
I asked my parents if i could have a drum kit as i've always wanted to be a drummer, My parents bluntly refused.....
So i had to stick to playing the guitar and boy did i get grief!!!!
I only used my electric guitar with out any power and they still told me to shut up.....
As we kept on rehearsing my old friend darren burris from school wanted to join us, So he started learning the bass guitar.
After four months of practicing and writing songs we decided to look for a drummer it took us three months to find one.....
Whilst looking for a drummer james barker was out voted, so he had no choice but to sing!!!!!
Our first drummer was mark hughes, As he had just started learning to play the drums, But we didn't mind as we were all beginners...
It took us another two months to come up with our first set list, we had five covers and five origials......
So our set list looked like this......YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME...

HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN...Our first gig took place in the wingfield pub in Llanbradach, as this was a free gig for caerphilly kyokushinkai karate club.....
As we started moving forward the pace got to fast for mark hughes, As he was busy working all the time, So we started looking for a new drummer.....
Darren burris our bass player said there's a drummer that lives by him, So one night at the aber hotel in abertridwr we met jamie morgan and asked him if he would like to join us, jamie morgan jumped at the offer.......
So we then started practicing in the aber hotel for free, As long as we did a gig for free.....
Jamie morgan came up with the band name it was a choice between
CRIMAL DAMAGE and CO2, So we all decided to call the band CO2......
We then started gigging around caerphilly and we were like aliens from another planet only because we didn't like kissing peoples arses and they didn't like us speaking our minds......
When ever we did play as a support band for caerphilly bands they did not like it, So they would mess our sound right up!!!!!
So as a band we decided not to play in the caerphily area only because we did not fit into the click!!!!
We were more determind than ever to be come the best band in caerphilly so we would practice everyday!!!!!
As we gigged around around the valley's and south wales we found that we were getting a lot of feed back and follower's....
We did have a chance of a record deal but jamie morgan had to be in court the same time as we had our audition with virgin records!!!!!
I cant blame jamie morgan because he was only standing up for the band and him self that's how he got into fights, and plus he has never got on with the police, He would always get his self into more trouble....
As tme past jamie margan started going off the rails and was becoming the weakest link....
As the gigs were coming in fast we were finding it hard to keep track of jamie morgan, There was many of our gigs we had to cancel because we could not find him anywhere, And when we did find him he would be to drunk or to stoned to play....
Stephen morris our manager found another drummer for us but the only bad thing about it was that we didn't give jamie morgan a chance to get his self together....
So one night at the bowls inn pub in penyrheol, Stephen morris arranged a jamming session with the new drummer gareth stock....
And who should turn up???? Yes you guessed it, It was jamie morgan and yes he was not a happy chappy....
As several month's past jamie morgan asked if he could come to one of our show's we said yes of course you can, And at the end of the night when the drummer was getting out from behind his drums jamie morgan jumped him, but for what reason i do not know????
When ever we played at the same pub again, The pub would put up banner's saying " NO EXDRUMMERS PLEASE" !!!!
Gareth stock had most of the say for what songs we did, So most of our origials were changed for covers, We thought it was good at the time but if i did it all again i wouldn't do any covers at all....
When gareth stock had been in the band for 12 month's and he started refusing todo any origials, so we just went with the flow....
Stephen morris said that we should get a keyboard player so we can do more of a variety of songs....
And that's when andrew matthews joined the band, Andrew matthews used to play for the eldrly in bedwas social club before he joined us...
As time past we were getting very popular and started playing bigger and better shows which was very nice after playing in small pubs and clubs!!!!!
When andrew matthews had his feet firmly under the table he then started going out of control drinking too much, smoking drugs and not showing up for gig's he was becoming one big headache, so between andrew matthews not showin up for gigs and darren burris hitting bum note's it was getting very
annoying, we all hit bum notes from time to time but he was taking the mick!!!!
We gave darren burris chance after chance to get it right, and as he didn't we had to get another bass player????
Richard morris met simon tucker in a sports shop when he was buying a pair of trainers and got talkng about bass players that's when simon tucker offered to play for us.....
Simon tuckers was a very good bass player but we found it hard becase he lived in cardiff and had no transport....
We did a lot of competitions and outdoor gig's when simon tucker joined....
Simon tucker didn't stay long with us, as he was was busy with his other band so we had no choice but to find another bassist....
Richard and stephen morris found mike chandler, he was a very nice guy but wasn't very good on the bass, we thought he would get better with time but he didn't....
Stuart Richardson the bassist from lostprophets gave mike chandler a ear full as he kept making the same mistake in a song that we were recording in front line studio at caerphilly!!!!
Gareth stock our drummer used to call mike chandler ''THE FLIPPERMAN'' It was like he had two flippers instead of to hands.....
Several months pasted and we had to replace andrew matthews with chris lewis which was a very good keyboard player.......
After a couple of weeks we replaced mike chandler for lee deamer.....
Lee deamer was a good bassist and had lots of ideas for the band he was very helpfull but always clashed with stephen morris....
Around about this time we had recorded another woman, futuristic and still crazy.....
Many months pasted and gareth stock was still refusing to play in london as we had lots of offers to play there??????
Because we were a busy band we all had our own diaries so that we could book time off instead of cancelling gig's.....
Stephen morris didn't book time off considering he was part of the band, He used todo the sound side of thing's for us, He would always book time off at the last minute because he used to wait for holidays off tele-text, So that he could get them cheap....
Time past and gareth stock was trying to organize a show for his works do....
Stephen morris booked time off at the last minute when gareth stock was in the middle of organizing a gig......
Gareth stock wasn't very happy at this point as stephen morris previously had a go at gareth stock for booking two weeks off, And then he books time off at the last minute him self!!!!
This meant that we had no one doing the sound and no one playing lead guitar because stephen and richard morris were father and son!!!!
We arranged a meeting in the masons arms pub in caerphilly....
This is were the meeting and the sackings took place.......TO BE CONTINUED...........
