About Me

Critics are already touting Sanzkrit’s debut record “After the Wedding” as one of the Irish albums of the year, even though it won’t be released to the public until after the Summer festivals. The band’s 2007 limited edition “yeah but what if” EP has become somewhat of a collectors item amongst underground scensters and online bloggers have been quick to pick up on the buzz surrounding Sanzkrit too. With big players like Today FM and The Irish Times heralding Sanzkrit on their band of the year lists and an explosive set at Electric Picnic 2008 still fresh in the memory. It’s been a steady rise to the top for these Carrickmacross indie-pop gloomsters. There seems to be a genuine excitement that Sanzkrit are not just another “next big thing” band, but something far more special. Lead single Talk of the Town starts converting any doubters.. ..
