Some people seek music out, but for others, music finds them. Casie has been singing since the ripe age of 6. Dinner theatres, church, hometown shows, weddings, anywhere she could find an audience.
Casie has played the role of "Maria" in West Side Story, received first runner-up in the Gaither Gospel Talent Competition, and has been a part of Sing America Sing music dinner theatre in Cape Girardeau since she was 10-years-old.
However, Casie doesn't dream of stardom. You won't find this girl packing her bags to move to Nashville in hopes of a recording deal. She just wants to share her talented gift with the people close to her, and of course, the ones who can't resist the enormous, energy-packed vocals, of the Missouri girl who barely rises over 5-feet tall.
When asked about her dreams and music, she stated:
"I just want to move back to my hometown, marry a loving husband, have the joy of raising kids of my own, and take care of my family. Music will just have to follow me wherever I go!"
And it looks like that is exactly what the music is doing. After getting together with some local
talent, Casie has found herself co-writing songs. This has led to her most-recent accomplishment, making it into
the "field of 64" for CMT.com's Music City Madness 2, and then into the Second Round of "32," with the song "Don't tell me Goodbye."
Casie packs a vocal punch that can make you feel every emotion possible, in each song she sings. "Don't tell me Goodbye," is a song that makes you do just that. It is the latest testament of the talented southern girl, that is a senior nursing major by day, and an emotion-packed singer by night.
