Broken Red

About Me

If the Breeders and Chevelle had a love child, it would be Broken Red. Each member comes to the table with different influences that gel to form their own unique sound. Zach comes from a steady diet of Non Point, Tool, Three Days Grace, and Lost Prophets; Ryan comes from a heritage of Collective Soul, Dream Theater, Korn, and Metallica; Julie comes from a love affair with Juliana Hatfield, Smashing Pumpkins, Belly, and Lush.
Julie's soprano has been described as reminiscent of Juliana Hatfield and her songwriting as raw and emotional. A former bandmate once described her bass playing akin to John Paul Jones. Friends and fans characterize Zach's style on guitar as that of the Deftones’ Stephen Carpenter as he pours out bare emotion through his strings and lets his guitar do the talking.
Broken Red is ready to take the rock world by storm after regrouping from a five-month hiatus. Armed with new songs, new versions of older tunes, and playful enthusiasm, BR will be one band you won’t want to miss.
