My first interest would by my husband, my one and only. The military career that he has chosen, learning more and more each day about his duty and his job. Now another interest that I've taken to is pregnancy and parenthood. There is TONS of information and I want to be as prepared as I can be! Poetry, when I have the time and energy to write it,scrapbooking,my tv shows,online support groups, fishing and camping is a blast! I love to fish! There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the river banks waiting to hear bells dinging to signal a catfish on the line! And what a rush to reel them in! It's the greatest! And just all around having fun!!! We love to play games and get together with friends and play some cards... have a BBQ in the middle of winter... hehe.
I would love to meet other Marine Wives in this area! Like I said, friends here are second family, the more the merrier!Also some girls on my group I would love to meet up with and there are plans in the making of a uniting! yay!People from back home that knew me from school, that possibly we lost touch??? I always hate this question, because I have so many favorite movies!!!My all time favorite would be the Notebook... then from there, Hope Floats, Step Mom, Jersey Girl, and The Wedding Singer.... these are just a few, I have a ton more!!! I like the sappy drama's but every once in a while, I enjoy a good scary movie, as long as hubby's home! I can't watch them alone!
All time favorite TV series is 7th Heaven! I also like: Full House, even though I end up watching re-runs all the time becasue I've seen every single episode!, Gilmore Girls, Wife Swap, American Idol, and I love the Discovery Health Channel!!! CSI Miami, CSI Vegas, Law And Order SVU, and Reba. Again, these are just naming a few... I love the game show network too! Family Fued would be my favorite show on that channel! Most of the reality shows I can watch and get addicted to! My daytime show Montel Williams... I also love the Tyra Banks Show!
I love the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. They recently came out with one for military wives, and I read that whole book the first day that I got it!!! They are addicting and so touching and motivating!!!It was a great book to start and I believe they will come out with many more in the future!
