About Me
Born, raised and a continued resident of Queens New York, Jimmy T is bringing somthing different to the table than most hip hop/rap artists today. Young Jimmy T. is making his first move towards stardom with his 2006 mixtape album titled "Green, White & Red". Jimmy grew up and still resides in Middle Village, Queens New York. He started listening to music from the time he was able to hear and had the talent to grasp the consepts of music and never stopped. Growing up around a versatile list of artists helped him understand all aspects of different genres of music. Jimmy recalls listening to artists from Frank Sinatra to Dean Martin, the Beach Boys to the Bee Gees, freestyle sensations Stevie B. & Collage and the Fresh Prince to Tupac Shakur. Growing up in the federal infested streets of Middle Village, and certain people who surrounded him during his childhood, Jimmy was able to retain a street knowledge and street smart unlike no other. "Life to me is like a game of chess, and 3/4th's of the people in this world only know how to play checkers." Jimmy T does not like to be quoted on whether or not he had rough life, or a hard up-bringing. In fact, he believes that everyone has experienced their share of hard times, some much more than others. Therefore he doesn't believe it would be right compare himself to others. The family oriented, Jimmy T, derived his nick name from his father. At a social club where Jimmy was brought up around, his father was known under the title of Jimmy T, it was later pasted onto Jr. James. At the age of nine, Jimmy developed an interest for writing. He became infatuated with the hip-hop culture. At the age of thirteen, he began to write rhymes. For a while, he struggled through tough paths and rocky roads. He faced doubt, laughter, and neglect. But all the criticism that was thrown at him only helped him to come back bigger and stronger each time. Filled with an arsenal of straight to the point, meaningful, story-telling lyrics, Jimmy brings you a whole new album about his life and things he had locked up in the back of his mind. Through his lyrics he is able to express himself, and at the same time trying to make others walk through the times in which he wishes he could forget, and the times in which are just unforgettable. He brings to you a brand new album that will make fans crying for more, making Italian-American pride a new genre, but better yet enter a era of its own..
