Influences: My influences include Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, Jill Scott, Leonard Cohen, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Copland, Judy Garland, Cole Porter, and Carmen McRae. Some of these influenced my pianistic style, some my vocal style!

Since I'm a writer (currently 200 pages into a new book!!!!) I think the lyrics and musical line form the soundtrack to my poetic life.
