These are the things that fuel the music of Pushin Rope, a five piece hailing from the dusty hills and empty wastelands of San Diego, California. Combining the best of traditional outlaw country, old time bluegrass, delta blues, and a manic dash of DIY punk and rock & roll, these five gentlemen have created something quite unheard of in Southern California: a foot stompin', head boppin', hootin' and hollerin' tour de force of Americana.
Murderous Songs Of Despair is an album that will kick you in the teeth, hold you down with a boot heel to the throat, center that shotgun right between your eyes, and demand your strict undivided attention.
Sounds like five guys, a guitar, a banjo, a stand up bass, a violin, and some drums.
Sounds like a shotgun wedding at the trailer park.
Sounds like an empty 12 pack of Pabst, only one smoke left, and the whiskey has gone sour.
Sounds like low flying police helicopters about to descend upon your make-shift crystal meth shack out in the middle of the desert.
Sounds like the constant buzzing clatter of a homemade tattoo machine.
