About Me

I was born in Vienna in sunny Austria in 1967 - lived there for about 4 weeks and then had my folks move me to even sunnier Bavaria. This is where half my family are from anyway. Then I lived from ages five to nine on a small Island (Reichenau) in the middle of Lake Konstanz (look it up buddy) where I lived a young life of total freedom (or so it seemed), mostly spending time unfettered outside of the house running wild. And nearly drowning too, once. But I am still here. In 1976 I came to live in Richmond, England with my folks and my little sister, Nikki. I went to School there, which I didn't enjoy a whole lot but got seriously hooked on playing and listening to music. I spent time with post BARRACUDAS band THE FORTUNATE SONS and then formed my own bands, such as CRAZE 5 & THE SILENT BLUE, which included players such as TAM JOHNSTON who's now on MYSPACE as THE GENERAL STORE, Rick Corcoran who is POWER POP king THE ORGONE BOX and CHRIS GUSSMAN who is now playing as CHRIS GUSSMAN'S KINKY MACHINE. Since 1989 I have run SUGARBUSH RECORDS who deal in rare vinyl, and put out the odd vinyl record or cd. In fact my first self released LP, my band THE SILENT BLUE'S "TUNE IN" album, was produced by one NIGEL GODRICH. It was his first ever production credit at the tender age of 16. Surely his finest moment too, later productions for RADIOHEAD, BECK & MCCARTNEY were only done to pay the bills! Search out a copy of TUNE IN and you'll know what I mean, and that really I am talking bollocks. But he did produce it. In about 1992 I released a limited edition cassette ACHIN' FOR SUMMER which was reissued in 2003 as a CD and features the aforementioned musicians.
Recently I have been doing much playing and writing again. Not least helping out on the upcoming KINKY MACHINE CD by CHRIS GUSSMAN. In return he's going to let me record some more tracks in his state-of-the-art studio in rural Kent, where I live too. Featured here are 4 songs from yesteryear. All were recorded on an ANALOGUE reel to reel 8 track in about 1992 (hence the juvenile lyrics). One track HARDER NOW, was written by ORGONE BOX man RICK CORCORAN and we sing the lead in harmony! This is a previously commercially unreleased song. Every month or so I shall be rotating the playlist. Please feel free to download these tracks and do with them what you like. Recorded music here is free (except rare vinyl which I expect you to pay huge sums of money for). On a more personal note I am madly in love with EMMA (sorry ladies) and we have two children, Millie & Heidi. Now you know!! http://www.sugarbushrecords.com ...
