Each chapter is responsible to its local area with "teddies at the ready" responding to circumstances of personal tragedy, as well as natural or national disasters.Mission Statement: In this often troubled and troubling world, it is our mission to bring comfort to children in crisis through the hugs of teddy bears and messages of loving care.YOU can get involved with Hugs Across America!• Volunteer: You can volunteer to work with your local chapter, to "bag and tag" teddy bears for immediate need in your area or nationally.• Start a new chapter: If a chapter is not available in your immediate area, how about starting a new one! It's not hard, not expensive, not too time consuming (many hands make light work) and most importantly, helps comfort children in crisis.• Fundraise: Either donate directly, think of something that you and your friends might do to earn some money, talk to a foundation that is sensitive to children's issues, or speak to someone responsible for corporate benefit money.Are you on facebook?
