"I like to say, this is what you should watch out for. This is what you're likely to screw up. If you do screw it up it's no big deal. In fact, I expect you to screw this up the first, and the second, and even the third time."
-Anthony Bourdain
"If some Birkenstock-wearing knucklehead driving around in a SUV and wearing sneakers someone was sold into slavery to make is sniffling about the poor animals, that person is clearly never going to experience the world."

" I'll make fun of the French, thank you very much.â€

Life is fragile and yet so many fail at it miserably. It is not the worldly gain that defines the life, but the wisdom that life was lived and known.
Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.
-Desmond Tutu
"The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems."
"The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become."
"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier has. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them."
