Falk Recordings is a small record label based in Berlin. Named in honour of lord almighty Peter Falk, we release on a strictly intermittent basis, by that we mean that when we have something we like we release it; It's a simple concept.
We are not particularly genre specific, but as a basic rule we put out music that dwells somewhere in the rhythmic structure of House or Techno and is relatively reminiscent of the music that inspires us. So the odd smattering of Afro-Beat, Jazz, Dub, Post-Punk, Electro, Prog and Folk are always very much appreciated.
In all honesty we are not that interested in the next big dancefloor hit, we'll leave that to those with the passion to see it through... we don't. This is not a manifesto and we're not trying to wage war on the Dance Music community nor are we trying to push what we do as being a somewhat more intelligent alternative to other labels, we are simply trying to put out music we enjoy in the hope that you will too.
