Vacation!!!

About Me

Enjoying my recovery time after sitting for the New York bar exam. Start work as a litigation associate on Park Avenue next month (ridiculous, I know). Just moved into a tiny apartment with my lovely girlfriend in midtown Manhattan. Looking to put the workaholism on hold for a minute in favor of activities that involve sunshine, physical exertion, old friends, and general debauchery.

My Interests

Passing the bar. Seeing the world. Leaping tall buildings in a single bound.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with tips on the 1L year at biglaw, NYC in general, or kickass adventure vacations.

Music:

Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Spoon, Depeche Mode, Elliott Smith, Everything But the Girl, Bowie, Morrissey, Death Cab, Postal Service, The Cure, Jay-Z, Nas, Interpol, Modest Mouse (now with 25% more members of The Smiths!!!), REM, Radiohead, Weezer, Johnny Cash, Scissor Sisters, Hank Williams III, Explosions in the Sky, young Ani, random mixes made by Kennedy or Felice in the 90s.

Movies:

Godfather I and II (asking me to pick the better film between the two would be like inviting the War Games computer to a friendly game of tic-tac-toe), Me and You and Everyone We Know, Happiness, Royal Tenenbaums, Wirey Spindell, Big Lebowski, Friday, Dog Day Afternoon, Brazil, Pecker, Best in Show, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Two Towers, The Shining, Donnie Darko, Labyrinth, Fog of War--anything by Errol Morris, Stranger Than Fiction (minus the last 15 minutes would have been phenomenal), High Fidelity, Grindhouse.

Television:

The Wire, South Park, Daily Show, Colbert Report.

Books:

Favorite is still Lolita. Recent: Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions and Man Without a Country, Hosseini's Kite Runner. Just started Dostoyevsky's Notes from Underground (a perfect subway read) and DeLillo's White Noise. *Still* working on Atlas Shrugged (I'm so over the romantic subplots--gag).

Heroes:

Kurt, who's up in heaven now. ;)
