T.O.N. is the acronym for the Spanish phrase "todo o'nada" meaning "all or nothing. That is the ethic by which Rj. Vasquez founded the label in 1991 as a hands-on personal-sized independent label, commited to local talent and bringing music that is vital and seminal to thr largest audience possible.The T.O.N. Music roster consists wholly of dedicated musicians and artists who are as involved in the process of exposing their music to the people as the staff who actually work at the label. This label-artist relationship keeps the artistic expression intact, while directly involving and educating the artist in the process of making music "art" businiss.Artistic integrity being first and foremost, begins its'conceptualization on the literal drawing board. Much of the designand artwork is done by hand-along with recording, production,packaging and publicity-all happening under one roof.
