I currently reside in Huntington Beach, CA. I'm a fun and friendly guy who's sometimes quiet and boisterous at others, depending on my surroundings. Being a proud Oregonian from a small town, I found it difficult to initially adapt to the culture shock that struck me in Orange County. I moved south to sunny, Southern California on September 11th, 2003 and knew only a handful of people, one of which was my old college buddy from OSU who encouraged me to move down. I made a fresh start with my life and found it the perfect opportunity to renew my journey of faith with the Lord. So looking back now...it was one of the most impactful decisions to move away to a new place. Family and friendships are priorities in my life. Unfortunately my mom passed-away in late October of 2007 from health complications, at the young age of 59. The death of a close loved one encourages and nurtures stronger bonds with others and now I am needed by family more than ever before. It will be very important to be surrounded by loving, supportive people to help me deal with the pain and grief. The road ahead will be difficult, but hey...who ever said life was easy?!? I enjoy spending quality time with friends (many are like 2nd family to me in the OC), especially centered around a fun activity or place, but don’t mind kickin’ it at someone’s house either and keeping things low-key. Count me in when there's a party! I am a total perfectionist. Over the years I’ve realized that no one can live up to my high standards, so I try my best to accept them the way they are. If I piss you off, let me know, because I like people to be honest and up-front with me and I'll give you the same courtesy. I attained the rank of Eagle Scout and always enjoy spending time in the outdoors and taking adventures, especially when I have my handy Nikon digital camera. Some of my most memorable moments have been on 50 mile backpacking trips with my hometown Boy Scout Troop 485. As a scout and an adult leader, I've done 6 such treks and numerous shorter ones.
