- It was the summer of 05’. I was eighteen years and I had just graduated high school in a small suburb outside of Philadelphia. This was my first time on my own in the world on my own in the world and when I learned my first lessons in life and love.
This was the time in my life where the stories and events in these songs predominantly occurred. I was restless, carefree and wild, and loving every minute of it. Struggling to get on my feet and established in the world were some of my first lessons as an adult of suffering. The lows were rock bottom and the highs were out of this world.
I was playing every open mic I could find and on the street when there was no where else to play. I had been writing songs and playing since grade school and it had always been a great passion of mine. The sounds of artists and bands like Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, The Doors and Eric Clapton set a fire in my soul. I knew this was what I wanted to do.
This album is a collection of songs that traces that summer to now. I would give anything to go back to the summer of 05’, but this album is my testament to the road I’ve walked and the people I’ve met from then to now.
