I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm really laid-back and I believe that you can have fun in any situation as long as you are with the right people.... I place a lot of importance on friendships and therefore choose to have a few really close friends as opposed to lots and lots of acquaintances - and I have to admit my close friends are awesome so i guess I'm just lucky :)

My Interests

hanging out with friends, going to Maryland ;), watching college sports (go Illini!!), playing volleyball, watching movies, in general i like to listen more than I talk, but if you're close friend you usually can't get me to shut up .... and of course anyone who knows me would have to call me out if I didn't mention that I love to go drinking, karaokeing, and dancing (though my favorite club is in DC not NYC!)

Music:

this is tough for me to answer because I like a wide variety of music - but I'll name some of my favorites from each genre(not in any particular order): classics like U2 and Eagles; newer bands like Scissor Sisters, Postal Service (thank you ash!!), All American Rejects, Train (ok I could go on but you get the idea); Soulstice is my favorite in hip-hop; I'm really into Jason Mraz's most recent cd... ok I think that's good for now - I'll update later!

Movies:

this is even harder for me but I'll just name my all-time favorites and say that I absolutely love movies - all genres: Princess Bride ranks up there as one of the best ever; Scent of a Woman, Dead Poets Society, Breakfast at Tiffany's (anything Audrey Hepburn basically) are all up there too; one of my current favorites -- Kung Fu Hustle is a must see - you won't regret it!

Television:

hmmm, well historically I have watched a lot of tv - but current favorites are Prison Break, 24 (when it comes back in January), Lost, Arrested Development, Six Feet Under (I know its over but it was just so good!!!!), and CSI (the original)...... oh and I can't fail to mention the classics like Seinfeld, South Park and Simpsons.......... and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is hillarious and perfect :)

Books:

I read a lot of fiction --Stephen King is a favorite but I also love anything by Jane Austin! I'm reading the Tipping Point right now(but going rather slowly on it) and other current stuff I have read: Al Franken's Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them, Angels and Demons, The Dante Club...... all recommended :)
