About Me

I grew up in New Ulm: a small German town in Southern Minnesota.
My main hobby is music and Live Concert's. I've been into music since the BEATLES beamed into our living room (February 1964) in glorious black and white proclaiming: "I want to hold your Hand".
My first official Concert was John Denver in February 1970 at a small college in New Ulm. Ticket price $1.00! Just John and his acoustic guitar singing folk songs like: "Leaving on a Jet Plane". No crappy: "Far out" stuff!
My first official Rock Concert was: RASPBERRIES rocking the Brown County Fair: August 15, 1974. Ticket price: $3.50 for reserved seats! This was the reformed Starting Over RASPBERRIES. Eric Carmen, Wally Bryson, Scott McCarl and Michael McBride. This was a legitimate National Rock band playing in my hometown; 6 blocks from my house! A Rock band at the top of their game. A band who in 1974 garnered Rolling Stone magazine: Record of the Year for Starting Over. A band who had one of the top 100 singles of all time: "Overnight Sensation" (Hit Record). A band who in 2007 can proudly claim rights: THE BEST POWER POP ALBUM OF ALL TIME: STARTING OVER. (Source: Shake Some Action - the Ultimate Power Pop Guide by noted music journalist John Borack). Over the years I've had the pleasure to meet Scott McCarl, Wally Bryson and finally in 2005: Eric Carmen. Not only are these guys the consumate professional musician's. They are all wonderful down to earth "Rock Stars" I consider my friends. STARTING OVER RASPBERRIES is the RASPBERRIES Reunion I want to see! ! !
1975 was significant year for Concerts. My 1st Rolling Stones Concert on June 9, 1975 at the St. Paul Civic Center. It's only Rock 'n Roll but I like it. The STONES have endured as the GO TO CONCERT for over 33 years since that Monday night in St. Paul. I've seen numerous Minnesota Concerts plus Chicago (3X), Madison WI (2X), Little Rock, AR and Las Vegas! They continue to deliver the most dynamic, high energy Rock Show complete with high tech staging, sound quality and Jagger's one-of-a-kind showmanship! I've had the rare pleasure of meeting Bill Wyman and ex-Stone: Mick Taylor! The BEST STONES Concert...you ask? The Aragon Ballroom - Chicago on Sept. 16, 2002. 4000 Stones freaks crammed in a small art deco ballroom. All for a measly $52 ticket! ! A rare setlist and surprise appearance by Bono capped off an incredible event by Mick, Keith and the Boys! To be continued!
