About Me

Inspired by the formal yet fluid lines of her favorite poets, VerseNYC's Heather Akers began designing necklaces three years ago. In her pieces, rounded geometric shapes are further softened by fabric, ribbon, and rope: a marriage of the structured and the sinuous. Like the unique and increasingly rare vintage jewelry, patterns, and fabric that influence these designs, the pieces featured in our Spring 2008 collection were created for a confident, original, and fashionable individual who sees beauty in the unusual and in the elegantly simple. These styles work equally well with casual jeans-and-a-tee or with couture. In a sea of delicate, barely-there chains and charms, the dramatic, singular statement necklace makes a comeback this spring. We hope you enjoy our collection. Feel free to contact us with any questions or requests for ordering information. Our designs are now available for purchase at VerseNYC.com, including the Villanelle ring necklace, which was recently photographed in the tents at Bryant Park at New York Fashion Week Spring 2008 and at one of the after parties.Check back with us often for photos and details about new pieces, which will be coming soon.Site Credits: Designs: Heather Akers / Photos: Damon Patterson / Models: Kasia Cylc & Evgeniya Fillmonekova
