Sounds Like: -About Mariano LlopisMariano was born on October 22nd 1977 in Buenos Aires.He began playing the bass at the same time he was part of “La Tota Bluesâ€. They had the luxury of sharing the stage with international artists such as Dave Myers, Aron Burton, Phil Guy, Raful Neal and James Wheeler. They also recorded two albums, "Traditional Blues" in 1999 and "Blues Alive" in 2000.Years later surprised by the resonance of the first records of jazz, blues and rock & roll of the 40's and 50's he beginning to investigate and decides to play the dublebass, entering the “Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda (EMPA)â€.Also for a few years joined the Betty Blues Band led by Ruben Gaitán.Due to his development locally, Gabriel Grätzer convokes Mariano to join him and opened the doors to country blues, gospel, bluegrass and black spiritual; beside him he was honored to be presented at the Colon Theatre, in the San Martin Theatre, at the Maipo Theatre and many other prestigious places of Argentina.In 2000, takes over the ownership of the chair "Dublebass Blues" of the Collegium Musicum of Buenos Aires led by Grätzer.Then he knows to Marcos Ballanti and Fernando Zoff, they form Black Cats, a rockabilly trio tribute to Stray Cats, and begins to position itself as one of the most recognized doublebass gender.In late 2002 Luis Robinson (pioneering harmonica in Argentina) invites him to be part of what at that time would be his new project, “Luis Robinson and His Champagne Jumpsâ€, with whom he recorded "Piercing Blues" with Norberto "Pappo" Napolitano The Blacanblues, Ricardo Tapia (La Mississippi), Miguel Botafogo and Daniel Raffo.During the course of 2005 he was convoked by José Luis Pardo to join the "Mojo Workers", a trio of blues that is positioned as one of the best bands of Argentina with a strong boom in Spain. Together they recorded "That's Right" (edited by the European label “Hotsak†in 2007).After a time and the need for artistic growth, and to seek further training in music, decided to enter the environment as sesionist.Because of this election, currently Mariano is sharing the stage with great soloists from the national and international levels, as well as excellent bands of different styles, and it is a musician in constant activity inside and outside the country.
