I am here for Friends

About Me

My life is sustained by grace, even though I definitely haven't mastered the art of living my waking moments by it. My Savior is my love and best friend, even though I don't always act like it. Grace and forgiveness are great, great things. I've been blessed with a great family who knows Him and is incredibly supportive. With regards to a few things that concern my generation- I figure my Father will tend to things in His time. Because He's good like that. There's a lot of living to do anyways. Trying to make heads or tails of this crazy world; we'll see what she has in store.
P.S. I'm horrible at keeping in touch, so please don't view it as abandonment. I honestly do heart my friends and family.
An additional aside:

I got my MySpace Layout at HerMyspaceLayouts.com.

My Interests

www.desiringgod.org. Biblical, awe-inspiring truth and testimonies. People. Information. Different cultures. Good photography. Especially simple still lifes, candids, everyday fare and casual portraits. Breathtaking landscapes... I'm not that great, but I like it.
A few random photographers:
www.echard-wheeler.com www.jennymphoto.com www.arianadelawari.com
The world.
www.cnn.com
www.foxnews.com (Despite the fact that the reporting seems a bit slanted, it's interesting seeing multiple organizations' takes.)

I'd like to meet:

Yeah. Anyways, seekers, brethren, new friends and old ones, people (because they're so stinkin' interesting), my Savior face-to-face

Music:

No favorites, but I enjoy some Caedmon's Call, tobyMac, Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Matthew West, Chris Tomlin, the Passion worship series, Kutless, Skillet... And even though I don't listen to these artists regularly, I like their sound: Sting, U2, Frank Sinatra, Journey, Toto, the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel ("Sound of Silence" rocks my socks). In concert- classical (I'm not a guru, though)

Movies:

The Passion of the Christ, Signs, Batman Begins, The Nativity, Antwone Fisher, Roman Holiday, To Kill a Mockingbird, Transformers: The Movie (1986), Supersize Me, X-Men United, Luther, The Painted Veil, Schindler's List, Unbreakable, Finding Nemo!, Blackhawk Down, Blood Diamond, Gattaca, Love Actually, a few of the cleaner goofy flicks like Elf(Well, I thought it was funny...)

Television:

Heroes, 24, the 700 Club, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, Going Tribal (with Bruce Parry), Man vs. Wild (But that Bear Grylls guy... His poor wife.)

Books:

My Bible (but I'm no scholar, so don't expect anything). What's So Amazing About Grace?, Farenheit 451, To Kill a Mockingbird, Desiring God (even though I haven't finished the book, the first few chapters rank among my favorite)... You know, I find it difficult to finish books. I can hardly hold my attention on anything past 15 minutes or so, let alone be able to read anything.

Heroes:

My Savior and King, first and foremost. And secondly, anyone He inspires to live this life the way it's supposed to be lived.

Be Thou My Vision

I'm not one to read lyrics when people put them online. I, therefore, don't expect anyone to read these. At least I'll have them somewhere I can find them. Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;N...

Sha la la la la

Don't worry. Be happy. A very neat thought. A friend proposed that Yahweh (God Almighty, as in the One behind the Bible) didn't want His children worrying. Love Him with all we've got. But don't wor...

Pulled this off of the Mission to the World website:   "Nobody tells you when you get born here how much you're going to love and how you'll never belong here. So, I'll call you my country and be...

I like books. Books don’t like me.

I try soooo hard to try and study and be productive, but it feels like I get less than 35% of what I intended done. That might actually be more like 25%. I'm frustrated.

Lalalalal.... Survey.

It's a survey. Not that it's of particular interest to anyone. I figured, "Sure, fill one out." Then realized I sounded like the annoying person in your lectures that loves to ask questions (purely be...

Internal Sorting

I thought I'd check out the website of a photographer whose photos I really like. (Echard Wheeler, so ya know.) And with the music and his photos flashing on the intro, I saw a joy in photography that...

Speaking of hospitals...

Thankfully, it only took one stick to put an IV catheter in me. Thank you, Princess Anne Health Care Campus. Apparently, dehydration manifests in strange ways. Oh, and hospital visits are good. You ga...

Who Will They Become?

From a bulletin. Not that I expect anyone to read this, but I'm keeping it up for myself. Honestly, I don't know if many people really look at these. To AOY members: Maybe there's potential here for a...
