My name is Scott Jackson Garnett. I am vegan. I am straight edge. I am a music producer. I am a DJ. I am a screen printer. I like to ride my bike. I like to cook. I like to travel.
Here's my story...
I am originally from Roanoke, Virginia. Since age 14, the only thing that I truly cared about was my family and music. I played in different bands growing up and toured the all over the east coast and south since age 15. I graduated from Lord Botetourt High School in 1996 as a junior at age 17 with thanks to voluntary summer school sessions, a zero period course and an independent study program. I did this in order to dedicate my entire life to the pursuit of music. At the time of my graduation, I was in a decently successful band called Swank. http://www.myspace.com/swankband I was the drummer. We succeeded in releasing multiple CDs, compilation album appearances and a few 7" vinyls. We toured with some great bands nationwide on multiple occasions until disbanding in early 1997.
The same year I began a professional body piercing apprenticeship at an internationally known studio called Ancient Art. I spent the next six years working in the tattoo and body piercing industry including seminar training and studio management. Around the same time I began my career in the tattoo and piercing industry, I also became overwhelmed with interest in DJing and music production.
In 2000, I left Virginia and moved to Atlanta, Georgia with three close friends. It was there that I continued my focus on music and met some of my the greatest friends of my life. My move became a launching pad for my music and a decision that I rank as one of the best of my life.
In 2002, I spent eight months helping a friend launch his own tattoo and piercing studio in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Afterward, I returned to Atlanta and officially retired myself from the tattoo and piercing industry. I made the decision to pursue my music full time, which had grown too busy to manage along with working full time.
Since, I have given all my focus to my music. I have spent years striving for various goals in association with my music career. I currently have twenty vinyl releases amounting to over forty individual tracks. I have been fortunate to go on numerous North American and European tours, as well as the Ukraine and Russia. In 2006, I was finally able to launch my own record label called Soundtest Records and have released five vinyls thus far. Also in 2006, I opened a screen printing shop in downtown Atlanta called King Screen. Screen printing had been a hobby of mine since high school and I had offered the service to close friends and musical peers for a number of years. With the help of a close friend, we were able to go full time with the company. We have continued to expand the company which grew triple-fold in the first year. We are very proud of this accomplishment and continue to have high ambition for the company. That pretty much brings us up to speed...
