I've finally updated my page after months of complaints from friends : )
So let me start with my music...
I've been singing since I was seven and writing my own songs since I was ten. I didn't seriously pursue music until I was fourteen, when a friend urged me to create a demo.
I met my manager at the age of seventeen and I was put to work on my first album. It became available online through tower records, itunes and cd baby.
Not long after, I met Lou, the president of Manta Entertainment, and signed on with this talented production company. They have worked with artists such as Destiny's Child, B2K, Fantasia and Jill Scott.
Currently, I'm in the studio busy writing ALL of my songs and recording new tracks.

Now that I've returned back to the real world and stopped hiding under a rock for the past couple of years, I guess I'll update everyone on what's been going on in my life...Let me start off by saying sorry to all of my friends for disappearing on you and not returning your phone calls. The last two years have been the hardest years of my life and I just needed space and time to breathe and think...
Everything in my life turned upside down and I didn't know what to do when I found out that I had lost both of my parents in one day... What can a person do when you get news that the two most important people in your life were shot and killed and now you had to face the aftermath of it all... my head was spinning out of control with the media, news reporters, police, investigators... All of this while planning a double funeral and figuring out how you were going to take care of your five younger siblings on the income of a full-time college student!
Soon after my parents' deaths, my family has lost friend after friend to suicide, car accidents and violent shootings. It was enough dealing with one tragedy, but when you experience one death after another death, it starts making you think about the meaning of life and the shortness of it. You never know when you're gonna go and you never think that you'll lose a loved one anytime soon, but I'm telling you that life is UNEXPECTED! Hold all of those dear to you very close and tell them that you love them whenever you can.
To my cousin Johnson, you went away too soon and I'm sorry that I couldn't stay for your funeral... It brought back too many sad memories and I couldn't watch them burying you right next to my parents. But I know that you're at peace now and you'll always remain in my heart and in my thoughts right next to the memory of my mom and dad.
To my siblings, I hope that you will forgive me for all of my mistakes! I tried being the best guardian that I could be to you all and always remember that I'm hard on you only because I love you all sooo much! It's not easy being a single parent to five teenagers and there's no book out there to teach me how! :)
So back to my friends... I had to disappear from Sac to put the pieces of my life back together and to figure out who I was as a person. Eventually, I came to the realization that I was tired of making everyone else happy but myself. While I'm here on earth, I'm going to make the most of my time and my passion has always been music. Forget about being a doctor, a lawyer or an engineer!!! That's not me! I'm a music lover and an artist at heart and that's what I will continue to strive for...
Good news is that I'm back to writing and recording my songs :) I've signed on with a new production company out in L.A. and I'm extremely excited about the music project that I'm working on! I'll keep everyone posted on the lastest news...
Thank you to all of my friends and family for your patience, support and understanding. I wouldn't have been able to accomplish so much in so little time without your love and endless encouragement!!! :) The New Year will be full of surprises and I can't wait to see it unfold!
