About Me

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley. I was born on October 23rd 1986 in Dublin, Ireland. I moved to Savannah, Georgia when I was 18 years old and I am loving every minute of it. I have 2 beautiful daughters named Reagan Jeanette and Madeline Rose. I am married to the love of my life Mr. Cohutta Lee Grindstaff. Baby, I love you and I always will! I am an only child and I love it because all of my friends are my brothers and sisters. I am a proud Jewish woman. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on June 8th 2001. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that the body uses to fight infections. In ALL, the bone marrow makes lots of unformed cells called blasts that normally would develop into lymphocytes. However, the blasts are abnormal. They do not develop and cannot fight infections. The number of abnormal cells (or leukemia cells) grows quickly. They crowd out the normal red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets the body needs. I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of Mr. Bobby Deen son of Paula Deen and brother of Jamie Deen! Bobby is my hero and inspirtation. He has brought the smile back to my face and I have a lot of love, respect, and admiration for him. He helps ease the pain and helps me forget for a moment in time that I am battling Leukemia.
