Wut's up everyone. I'm sure you've noticed by now, my life revolves around the music business. I've been doing it now for about 14 years whether it be winning an international acapella championship, singing backups at the Hit Factory or being flown out to L.A. to do a commercial, I have experience in this business in not just one area! I guess you can say I'm a person of many ventures. Not only do I run my own recording facility, Ear Candy Studios, which I've been doing now coming on 6 years, I also work in a music store where I sell the very stuff I use myself in efforts to assist others with their own recording ventures. Last but certainly not least, I'm the frontman for 'Hollywood Lovescene'...you've heard our stuff on MTV, numerous national college radio stations, FM radio in Canada and even top 40's clearchannel stations such as the Buzz 103.1 and Wild 95.5. Heck if you've been to Singapore, South Africa or Japan recently you might have heard our stuff...apparently we're pretty hot over there as well. I really only know cuz the band's iTunes and CdBaby sales tell me so.
So anyway, in describing what you get with my band, think vocals influenced by Incubus, Journey, Boston & Toto mixed with guitar solos reminiscent of Slash, C.C. Deville & Warren Demartini. Add a drummer as creatively solid as John Bonham & Neil Peart with the creativity and taste to play with an acoustic indie group and you've got my drummer....finish it off with a rhythm guitarist and bass player who have come into their own so well that influences from Billy Sheehan & Stu Hamm as well as legendary rhythm crunch tones from the likes of the Ataris & Finch are stunningly apparent in my rhythm guitarist & bassist....put all of it together with the hunger and unstoppable drive to be in front of an audience of 5000 opening up for the likes of Vince Neil and Little River Band as well as the seasoned, tried and true ability to arrange and record hits on their own. Once you you attempt to organize all that in your head, you can easily sill fall short of what it is to see these inevidable stars in the making known all over Florida as 'Hollywood Lovescene'. We're clawing our way up the ladder of stardom to say the least and I'm sure I speak for the rest of us when I say that I hope it's the last job we ever have.
I'm very meticulous in life. Everything with me is on time, clean with all T's crossed and I's dotted. This goes into every song I produce as well as how the hell I manage to maintain being a frontman, working at a music store, running my studio, running live sound and playing instruments for gigging groups. Count them, 5 jobs that I pay taxes for...and people wonder why I don't have time to record them for free, hmm, go figure...so yeah, I have to be extremely detail oriented or everything would fall apart...heck, you're talking to a guy who's never had to go to the dentist to get a filling for a cavity...I'd say that's pretty meticulous if you ask me...
