Grey Ties formed in September 2007. They are a London band, but only geographically so. After playing in various power chord doom and jangly indie-pop bands, Alex and Stuart thought it was time to write a song together. At the same time (spooky, no?) Kam had just broken away from his last group and was looking for something new. The search for bass and - more importantly - some cool hair was completed with the free transfer signing of Mike Jones, all the way from Hollywood, Staines.
We would like to say a big thank you to Giles Waithe (Immigrant) and Oona for the excellent work laid down on the demo tracks. Alex has now inherited vocal duties, and is alas not in possession of the french voice gracing our demos...he is, however, just as fetching. (Or so he thinks)
