About Me

Myspace LayoutsChain by playwright Pearl Cleage, is a brutally honest and poetic exploration of drug addiction, family, religion, and personal salvation. This domestic drama is centered around Rosa Jenkins,who is fighting literally and metaphorically to escape from what her life has become. As a last act of rehabilitation for crack addicted Rosa, her parents chain her to a furnace. She speaks directly to the audience as she examines the best and the worst of herself.
