About Me

Rubu was formed by Simo in 1997. First album -Pay As You Earn- was recorded in the same year. Second album -Room Addiction- was recorded in 1998. Both albums were recorded by Frederic using a 4-track recorder and they were released as a casette(very very limited edition). Rubu played their first and last gig at Hyvinkää..s RintaRock in 1999. The line-up was: Frederic(vocals&bass), Simo(guitar&vocals) Hanski(guitar), and Haimila(drums) and that was the end of Rubu, NOT!

After eight years Rubu is back!The 2-song EP was recorded, mixed and mastered 16.10.2007 in 8hours!

The Principle of Rubu is to have fun making music, not to practice at all and pretty much write the songs the time they..re recorded!


Summer 2008 EP "The Circus Of Shame" was released. It contains two amazing songs, "What Is Said(ain't what is done)" and "Picture Of The World". Check our songs and give us feedback!!

There will be no Rubu recordingsthis year. We where planning to do some new stuff, but lack of time(no songs to record) made us cancel the recording sessions. Sipe is busy with his new band Coma Facti...

There is a slight possibility  that Rubu will go to the studio to record some new, even  greater  shit than Reality? was!!! But nothing is certain, because our other(main bands) are too...
