DJ Gleason

Here's some quick info about me... I was born in Tampa, Florida and did most of my "growing up," in the small town of Plant City, which is just outside of Tampa. As you can see, by what I have listed under my "influences," I'm into all kinds of music. Whether it's Country, Pop, Rock, or Oldies...if it's a good song, I've got it on! I learned to play guitar when I was about 15, and then began writing at about 16. I started playing at parties, which led to playing at the bars, fairs and festivals around my hometown. I made the trek to Nashville back in 2000, and started doing all the regular "writers nights," and whatever little gigs I could pick up. Since then, I've been a featured writer on WSM 650's "Writer's Spotlight" a few times, the Bluebird Cafe, had interest in my songs from Warner Bros., Curb, Sony, MCA, and Capital Records, and songs "on hold" with artist like Tim MaGraw, and Kenny Rogers, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. That was the "long story, made short" version of my "bio", but that pretty much brings you up to date. Thanks for checking out my page!
