My whole life revolves around music...I'm always thinking about it, hearing it (whether it's actually playing or in my head), and wanting to be around it...we've been together since I was three. It's been a passionate affair ever since.
In Aug. 08, I moved to Liverpool, England with my boyfriend Chris to attend the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts!!! Founded by Sir Paul McCartney, this school is highly regarded and super competitive. I feel honored to be given the opportunity to attend! I'm working towards my BA (finally) in Music, Theatre, and Entertainment Management, and my dreams are coming true!!! I never thought I would be able to live abroad and now I'll have 3 years to travel all over Europe with the man I love all while finishing school in a program that is bound to increase my chances of success in the industry. Gold star for me!
Before starting my life in England, I used to manage a Seattle band called Invention (www.myspace.com/inventionofmusic). It was a great experience, and if it weren't for that opportunity, I probably wouldn't have made it into school. I wish them the best of success in their future endeavors. I also played keyboards in post punk/garage band Denelian. I miss rockin' out with the boys, but it sounds like they are still having a great time playing whenever they can. I also had the opportunity of interning at Nectar Lounge in Fremont. I was so fortunate to be able to work with Colin. I definitely learned the inner workings of what it takes to run a venue and the strategies of booking shows. Check to see what's going on at www.nectarlounge.com.
Besides music, I do have other interests - believe it or not. I like to move my limbs around especially if I'm stressed. I love hot yoga, strength training, kickboxing, swimming, hiking, kayaking, and running. Would love to run a 10K...but that goal might have to wait until next year....we'll see.
