I bought my first guitar in March 2008. Since then I have written a number of songs of loss, love, bad times, good friends and home. I also play piano which is also something I decided to take on when I began writing March 08. I am inspired by musicians such as Bob Dylan and Steely Dan from my childhood, too Noah & the Whale and Norah Jones. My music is has a modern folk-pop feel. You can listen to its lyrics or just simply enjoy its sound. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy making it....:)
I was born and raised in the little south coast market town of Ringwood. I’ve always loved performing, its been in my blood. I moved on to music 4 years ago, and in 2007 began to work with a local Bournemouth singer-songwriter called Lou Brown. Lou and myself then hit Chicago and Iowa in March 2008 to promote Lou’s debut album ‘What Are You Singing About.’
It really was the most inspiring time for me on the road. We traveled 2000 miles in 18 days, stayed in 5* hotels and slept on peoples floors. Unfortunately, during my time out there my grandfather passed away and I remember him always telling me ‘to do things for myself’ which encouraged me to go out and buy my first guitar, a little Martin.
Today I am writting and performing my own songs, and well on my way to making my career.
