ViSiONARY was formed by vocalist/guitarist Dave Diamond in the beginning of 2007 and since has started work on their debut CD entitled "Book of Nightmares". Dave's main objective with Visionary was to create hard and heavy music with original riffs, razor sharp leads, with a progressive and melodic feel. However, finding the musicians who shared Dave's vision and dedication was no easy task. Luckily enough, Dave met up with veteran bass shredder Eric Meeks who with his aggressive style of playing and keen business sense, has since become Dave's "partner in crime." With the two cornerstones of the band in place Dave and Eric set out to find the perfect lead guitarist to complement the band. This long and almost endless search took them all the way to Pittsburgh Pa. where they found a master shredder by the name of Steve Whooler. Steve had spent the better part of his life also searching for the perfect metal band to play with and after meeting and jamming with Eric and Dave he knew that this was the band he had been waiting for. After playing a handful of shows VISIONARY was then given the oppurtuniy to open for progressive metal masters SYMPHONY X on November 23rd, 2008 @ Jaxx. And finally in April 2009 Visionary's prayers to the metal gods for a permanent drummer with both the talent and the passion for the band's music were finally answered when Wisconsin native John "THUNDERSTICKS" Miller decided to join up with the band.
Now with the lineup complete and an arsenal of high energy metal anthems, Visionary is ready to destroy the world....and they will not be taking any prisoners!
