THE SHAKES

Rodick Lorraine is a four-piece band from Bar Harbor, a town on an island off the coast of Maine. We realize that our distance from musical hotbeds (a city, in other words) might lessen our credibility. Fair enough. But we love the music we make and maintain a sense of pride that over the past six years we’ve been playing together in multiple manifestations of this same core line-up while never abandoning the small town that embraced and helped to cultivate our sound... Rodick Lorraine’s sound? A mix of dissonant rock (old-school psychedelic as Carl Davis, our lead guitar player prefers) and alt-country songwriting. In a set, we’ll be the loudest band you ever heard, than we’ll cry in your lap. We have three songwriters, each of varying musical vantages, but somehow it makes sense. Just give us a listen.
