My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jetrefilm Entertainment's second independent feature film is the mystical science fiction thriller Damascus, (formerly The Knightwish War. Already in development, this exciting film is slated to begin full pre-production in November 2008.

Damascus ia controversial reimagining our our most ancient beliefs and our newest discoveries and how eerily similar they really are about what they say and what the warn.

On par with Shroud's innovative architecture on the mystical, Damascus continues Jetrefilm's high demand for originality, lush visuals, exotic philosophical exploration and bone-breaking action.

Red One Camera Test for Damascus
We are currently scheduling a high definition short film for November 2008 to test Michael Morlan's new Red One camera system.

This camera is the most revolutionary leap in video technology in the last 25 years and we are giddy at the prospect of shooting a feature film with it. Alongside Peter Jackson and other Hollywood elites, we will be creating some award-winning art direction that will be perfectly captured by this new camera system.

Fighting on the Road to Damascus
Also unlike Shroud, we will have a fuller schedule with which to work on the dizzingly complex fight choreography that the script calls for. Some actors will be studying Seven Star Praying Mantis Kung-Fu as well as Sayoc Kali for the furious knife fighting techniques showcased in the film.

Casting for Damascus
Unlike our first film Shroud, Jetrefilm Entertainment will be conducting casting calls locally in Texas as well as from both the East and West coasts.

Those actors who were professional and enjoyable to work with on the set of Shroud will definitely be invited back for our second film. Regrettably, it takes working on a first film to realize who you don't want back on your second.

Concepting for Damascus
The bold story of Damascus has allowed our designers to cut loose with regard to character concepts as well as prop and set designs.

Location Scouting for Damascus
As we move closer to our second and third films, we have begun location scouting for the apocalyptic setting of Damascus and have located some astounding properties that will add a dimension of credibility and jump our production value through the roof. Two locations are located within the United States while a larger, more impressive property is located overseas. We are currently negotiating with the property owners for scheduling, access, compensation and with regard to the overseas property, matters of visas, customs, currency exchange and international freight and consulate-referred translation services.

A New Look for the Knightsilver Pilot
With Jetrefilm’s new design and editing platforms online, we will be publishing our original technical pilot Knightsilver on MySpaceTV, YouTube, Clipser and Flixster.

Originally conceived as a technical demo, this short film allowed us to step up to the larger full-length feature film Shroud two years later. Starring the beautiful Melanie Holland, the 22-minute film was excerpted largely from the first film in the Knightsilver trilogy.

We will be running the short film through color-correction before publishing it to the Internet.

Silver Mountain Wallpapers
We are currently export catalogs of Knightwish wallpapers for computers, iPods and cell phones. There will be several to resolutions and characters to choose from as well as montages and posters.

The Silver Mountain MySpace Make-Over
We will be loading a revised Silver Mountain page for our upcoming Knightsilver trilogy prequel Knightwish later this month as well as some new videos, pictures, and background information. The release will coincide with our initial sell window and should bring some valued attention to our first film Shroud.

The Apostle in Resin
Our very talented sculptor Ben Chester has finished sculpting “the Apostle” (gun from the Knightsilver trilogy) in resin and, having overcome some initial design hindrances, has managed to outfit the weapon with working LED, moveable safety, functioning trigger and a magnetically sealed breech-loading function.

This is our first prop from the Knightsilver material and we are very excited to finally wrap our hands around it. Subsequent props are being designed and scheduled for manufacture and we will probably sell replicas from soon-to-be online store at www.jetrefilm.com.

Jetrefilm Anticipates 4K
Whereas expensive, we are already ramping up for our unconditional embrace of the Red One camera system and its 4K juggernaut of a frame.

We have already invested into a new editing platform that will house over 24Gb of RAM, AJA XenaLH Cineform-compliant playback cards for a pure video tap, QuadroFX 4600 video driver cards, etc. Throw in some Infiniband switches, fiber array, and that shiny board the Silver Surfer flies around on and you have the new muscle here at Jetrefilm for the next two years.

Jetrefilm Goes 64-bit
Like a slowly creeping glacier, we at Jetrefilim eventually gorge our technology landscape with the unyielding plow of ice – or whatever. That was our pre-Emerson way of saying we have finally all our systems to 64-bit OS, new drives and more RAM. Can anyone really have too much RAM – clearly not.

Our new systems are faster and more powerful, and like all shocking advances, makes one wonder how you ever got by on the old stuff.

Throw in a few new monitors and we are off to the races.

The Magic of Magic Bullet
We recently acquired Magic Bullet, an Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier plug-in that is, frankly, pretty cool. Though not the industry leader in color-correction and manipulation software, Magic Bullet is a remarkably efficient tool for generating and applying stylized looks to your footage.

Importing our pre-existing values for Shroud, we really enjoyed Magic Bullet’s ease of use on our first feature film, the gothic western Shroud.

Magic Bullet also comes with a full pre-loaded cache of popular and niche looks emulating a host of television, motion picture, commercial and music video looks. It really is an affordable tool for the beginning filmmaker to add a quality control step to your color correction process.

Jetrefilm Online Store
Around the time of our Premier for Shroud Jetrefilm will open its online store for film-related promotional products and apparel. As the catalog of our films increase and branch into more exotic cross-genres, we will be selling original pieces from the films, limited edition replicas, and an assorted of merchandising.

Oh, Where Does One Have a Knightwish War Anyway?
In between the marathon of meetings and appointments for Shroud preliminary location scouting is continuing for someplace perfectly apocalyptic in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to shoot the pilot for our 3rd film. Given Dallas’ arcane ordinances about firearms and film explosives (specifically the firing of blanks) we will be shooting closer to Fort Worth.

The Apostle Takes Deadly Shape
The deadliest personal weapon in The Knightwish War is the sidearm of the beautiful Knightsilvers. Nicknamed "The Apostle" it is a highly advanced, multi-function combat platform that gives the Knightsilvers their advantage in battle. Having designed it, we sent emailed the layout to Ben Chester in Rhode Island to sculpt, model and manufacture the breech-loading prop.

View The Apostle.

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
We recently began our fight training with Grace Holley who plays Aspen - Knightsilver 9. We are extraordinarily pleased with Grace's immediate command of the many martial art techniques she is learning and have even higher hopes for grand display of fight choreography in The Knightwish War.

Ben Chester Joins The Knightwish War
The very talented Ben Chester has joined our small January production as a prop modeler. Ben is a dangerously imaginative sculptor, designer, penciller, painter and full-blow special effects specialist with some serious Hollywood projects on his resume. Having worked in both television and film, we are expecting a fun time working with Ben both in The Knightwish War as well as richly imagined Vangelis.

Visit Ben's workshop at www.myspace.com/spiralhornfx .

Knightsilver.com
Everyone will be able to follow the The Knightwish War at www.knightsilver.com once the site goes live on or around January 1, 2008. The site will have the latest news, illustrations, props, script PDF and photos as we prepare for this exciting project.

Film No. 3
With our present momentum, we are very excited at the prospect our third film will be a visually rich science-fiction prequel to the Knightsilver trilogy. Although The Knightwish War will be an portfolio pilot for acquiring investors, it will nonetheless be a dazzling mix of high-octane martial arts, graphic design and wicked dialog - one that will enable our returning and future investors to see what we plan to do with a bigger budget, more time and greater resources and experience.

The Knightwish War Enters Pre-Production
Jetrefilm Entertainment has slated to produce The Knightwish War, a sequel to its 2005 film Knightsilver. This pilot will be shot on the new Red One camera system in early 2008. Described as "an groundbreaking vision of the past and future unequaled in imagination" The Knightwish War is itself an Internet prequel to the epic Knightsilver trilogy.

"An astoundingly beautiful and brilliant blending of scripture and science…" our latest work The Knightwish War has also been called "the most daring re-invention of the science fiction genre since The Matrix." With such reviews of the story, we are simply hopeful we can parlay these great opinions into film excellence and an equally astounding financial response.

Grace Holley joins The Knightwish War
The beautiful Grace Holley has agreed to help us launch The Knightwish War with some great Bryan Chatlien photography. We shot around downtown Dallas and were fortunate enough to use the same wardrobe from the original 2005 experimental film.

The Knightwish War
Jetrefilm Entertainment has slated to produce The Knightwish War, a sequel to its 2005 film Knightsilver. This pilot will be shot on the new Red One camera in early 2008. The short film will be shot in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with an online promotion in 2008. A new page dedicated to this exciting project can be found myspace.com/thesilvermountain. This page will soon be populated with pictures, screen savers, concept art and other freebies so be sure to check those out.
