R3 (REALITY THROUGH RAP AND R&B)Jose Santiago AKA R3, which means “Reality through Rap and R&B”, has put forth his best music when it comes to speaking reality through his songs, weather they are songs of R&B or songs of him rapping. Yes this young rising star can touch your heart through him spittin’ some of his hardest, but yet smoothest bars in his songs of rhyme, and can also touch you with his stand out of the crowd voice, which is compared to none in the R&B world of this young mans career. R3 was born in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn at Woodhull hospital on September 24th, 1984 to Carmen Diaz and Jose Santiago Sr. Growing up between Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and Bushwick, Brooklyn where he resides now, had given the young rising star a lot to handle in his earlier years. Being attracted to what the streets had to offer and what people around him were doing to make money, and how easy he felt it was to do lead R3 to start dabbling in the street life and dealing drugs with some of his peers. This would eventually come to a screeching halt when, at the age of 18, the street life catches up to him and he finds himself at the hands of the justice system. Sliding away with minor set backs and a night in Central Bookings gave this young rising star the will to not want to be a part of the system or the streets. Looking forward and making all the right moves to better his life R3 becomes more responsible. Coming from a broken home where he was raised by his mother, he saw the need to step up to the plate and become that man who would play the roll of a father figure to his younger sisters, and a son and husband to his mother, and do all that he can do to keep his family afloat and together. R3 now has a family of his own, his partner Lola De Pena and newly added member to the family, his pride & joy is his daughter Aalyana Santiago. Working a full time job to take care of his family, R3 finds the time to sacrifice time away from his loved ones for a more promising future in this hard-hitting music industry. This young rising star has seen it all and has been through some of the roughest journeys in life that would normally crack a person. R3 feels it is due to him to see the other side of life and be able to enjoy that with his family. He will be able to conquer the hearts of people through his songs and finally make it to the other side of life where it is comfortable financially, but some of the roughest waters in life lay ahead. Who better then R3 to take on that task and make it happen. Stars do fall from the sky and fade away but expect this one to shine for a very long time.
