The birth of Soul of Sisa!, is quite simple. From a youngster in Charlotte, NC, loved Lamont listening to jazz with his father. Listening to artist from to Sonny Stitt ,Dexter Gordon ,to Isaac Hayes and anything in between. His mother a deep southern gospel lover,played music 24/7. With three generations of small town southern ministers as infunences .Thus his love for music was born.Lamont bka “Mont”, developed an ear for good- good music when he heard Miles Davis for the first time. He was completely blown away. Music shouldn’t sound so good he thought As time went on he was introduced to many other sounds that he enjoyed. Until he heard Soul to Soul and ,then New York House music. As they say the rest is history . .Although he never played a musical instrument, he incorporated music in just about every aspect in his life. After he and his wife opened a cosmetics store a few years back named Sisa! Cosmetics. Their customers had such great demand for the music that was being played in the store, that they decided to incorporate Make-Up, Music and More… Thus, SOS (Soul of Sisa!) was born.The store is truly a mixed fusion of Imports, Neo-Soul , Hip Hop, House and many different genres of music in one location.
