Derek

Derek was a reclusive child and spent the majority of his time playing ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ where he quickly rose to the rank of ‘High Dragon Master.’ Reality hit him hard in 2000 upon discovering there were no actual dragons left in the world to command. His dreams dashed, Derek entered the Naval Academy where he majored in Systems Engineering. Tragedy struck in 2004 when Derek suffered a potentially career ending knee injury due, in part, to his own awesomeness. He spent a year recovering in Monterey, CA where he earned a master’s degree in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2005. Derek went on to flight school where he earned his “Wings of Gold” in 2007. To the best of his knowledge, Derek has no wife or children, but would like to thank his family for all their support...
