people who are open minded and who enjoy life--more specifically, I'd like someone who can sit with me and enjoy a sunset... someone who loves walking where the tide breaks just to feel the sand rush away from their toes... someone who challanges me...who calls me on my bluff and teaches me without making me feel stupid... someone I can look up to without them looking down on me... someone to laugh with at stuipd inside jokes and dont even make sense to us... someone to cry with--both happy tears and sad... someone to hold me, someone who wants to be held... someone to sit with in a coffee house and talk for hours about all the "wrong things"...politics, religion/faith (and the difference), life... someone who looks at their past as a series of lessons, not a series of mistakes... someone who makes me feel comfortable taking my walls down...all this and more I've found in my Miro
I'm a big fan of music in general--but it has to speak to me. If I can sing to it or relate it's lyrics to my life then I'll listen to it. I like John Mayer, Ben Harper, Dido, Carrie Underwood, Dixie Chicks, Blue October. I can even stand some of the hard house and dance my fiance insists we listen to (but I have a ten minute limit).
I had a friend say once that he enjoys any film that accomplishes what it set out to do, so I'm going to steal that idea! If a film makes me think about it, makes me question why or how I do/act/feel the way i do about something in my life then, in my mind, it has succeeded! ,
I watch way too much tv: CSI, Sex in the City, Law and Order, Whose Wedding is it Anyway, America's Next Top Model, American Idol (but only the try outs and finale), Engaged and Underage, Samatha Brown's Passport to Europe, shows on the travel channel...
I love books that make me think and return to their pages after I've finished reading them. Brave New World, Dogs of Babel, Sybil, The DaVinci Code, Crime and Punishment, and Frankenstein are a few favorites. I also love reading books about different philosophies and belief systems--I really enjoy learning about what other people have dedicated their lives to.
I think we all have the potiental to be our own heroes
