Dai Le is studying with Mr. Ma Yue at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. In 2007, she won first prize in the first Singapore National Clarinet Competition while also taking 2nd prize in the chamber division. Le has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and served as a assistant principal clarinet player for the Macau Symphony Orchestra. She performs regularly at the Conservatory as a soloist and also with her woodwind quintet. In 2006, she was selected by conservatory as one of the first exchange studentst to study at the Peabody Institute (USA). During the time at Peabody she was associate principal clarinetist in Peabody Symphony Orchestra. Dai Le began learning the clarinet at the age of 9. Before coming to Singapore she studied at the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory Of Music in Beijing with Professor Tao Chun Xiao. While at the middle school, she performed in masterclasses with many guest artists and 2003 to 2004 she was the Principal Clarinetist of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra. After graduate from university,Dai Le is going to be a professional orchestra musician.
