I'd like to meet:
Abraham Maslow describes human motivational
needs in a hierarchy. This hierarchy is most commonly
represented by a pyramid, and on this pyramid is the order
of which Maslow suggests these motivational
needs. He describes that before we can reach self
actualization at the top of the pyramid we must first
satisfy our most basic needs. These basic needs being
food, water, shelter, safety, etc. In short, Maslow is
suggesting that every person is striving to reach
self-actualization.
I agree with Maslow's theory, for the most part, but I
believe that even higher than self-actualization is self-
acceptance. American's always want bigger and
better and are not usually content with what they
have. Is that really the way to live life? To
consistently envy others that have what you don't? I
personally don't think that this will lead to a very
fulfilling life.
If one has a possession that you desire, do not be jealous
and wish you had what they have. Instead,
rejoice for their accomplishments and use that desire for
motivation. If somebody has a better outlook on
life or more friends, do not slander their name and
cause grief in their life. Instead, use them as a
role model. Lastly, if somebody has a better physique or
wears a better style then you, don't talk shit.
Complement them.
It is important to accept yourself, if you don't nobody
else will.
Love life and be free,
