Dancing, singing(even though I have no talent),reading, travelin, chillin wit da fam or close friends, having dinner wit my husband(Wayne),writing poetry or going to poetry readings...
Hmm...this is a good one, OH wait how could I forget my favorite R&B singer Alicia Keys, one of my favorite hip hop artists: Kanye West, also Common, & Mos Def(he is gorgeous), now for Reggae my ..1 artist is Beres Hammond...every song he makes is a hiy and I would love to meet him! That's all I could come up wit for now...
I pretty much like a variety of music from some Country songs to Alternative or Punk Rock,BUT I will not go to any session unless it is strictly Reggae/Culture/Hip-Hop, I love R&B, but I just don't see the point in going out to a party & listening to da same thing u listen to on da radio every single DAY!!
I know I'm mad corny but I love romatic Comedies,so I LOOOOOVE "The Notebook", Dirty Dancing,Red Dragon(u know wit Leroy da black Karate Kid),Poetic Justice, anything wit Adam Sandler,The Best Man,Love & Basketball(ohhh Omar Epps)..I can't think of any more now,I guess by now u can see that I haven't been to the movies recently..
Law & Order(all of them) CSI(all of them) Girlfriends Soul Food The Real World America's Next Top Model Resident Life(TLC) Trauma Life in the ER(TLC) What Not to Wear(TLC) ER Six Feet Under(HBO) The Wire(HBO) Soparnos(HBO)
The Coldest Winter Ever,Fly Girl,The Autobiography of Sista Souljah, that book I read in High School about the Ebola Virus(can't remember da name)...personally I like to read black authors, however the books that I have been pickin up to read lately have been very disappointing, they are always about the same drama:SEX,LIES,& VIDEOTAPE... I need to be rescued from the norm,so anyone with any good recommendations, feel free to pass them along..
I would have to say my parents(I know I never end with da corney-ness)..because they are always trying to acheive more than what is right in front of them, although they didn't grow up in rich families, they have made alot for themselves with not much parental guidance in that aspect.
