He is a little Unpredictable, Spontaneous, and a Jokester at times, but with a great appreciation and respect for music and living life.With the soulful sound of his voice and the passion of his lyrics Chris Hurt is bound to be a legend in his own time...You will definitely hear his singing/songwriting ability's in every song.......Chris grew up in his hometown of Nashville Tn, until the tender age of 12. He and his family then moved to various place such as Texas and Memphis Tn. But his love of country music and the Country Music industry brought him back home to Nashville where he resides today.His father was one of his biggest influences on Chris becoming who he is today His father also was a singer/songwriter who worked with major recording artist and wrote songs such as "Love in the first degree" recorded by Alabama, and "Working Man" recorded by John Conlee.Along with his father and other musical influences like "The Allman Brothers", "Black Crowes" and the "Doobie Brothers" Chris was sure to pick up the talents and run with them. As for his unforgettable voice, his mother was also a singer who helped Chris as a child find his sound.Chris picked up his first acoustic guitar as child and with a little time and a lot of practice he taught himself to play just enough to get him through his writing. He has come a long way since the days of getting out a broom stick and singing Allman Brothers for his friends and family as a child...Today Chris is working on a solo project after leaving the Colt Ford Band as the Lead Singer and playing Acoustic Guitar.When asked what inspires his music Chris simply stated "LIFE". "The experiences I have had in Living, Loving and Losing all play a major part in my lyrics". Heartache, Heart Breaks, Good times, and Bad all make up the best country songs and Chris has inverted all of this in his music . You are bound to relate to how he is feeling with the words of his songs.Chris's long term career goals in Country Music is to be respected as a part of the country music industry for his songs and voice....Although Chris writes his own material, He has also co-written music with other artist, But at the same time having a deep respect for songwriters and would always consider doing someone else's song based on the fact that he come from a songwriters family...Chris loves to interact with his fans, and sign autographs and take pictures, and get to know them the best he can in what little time he has before moving on to the next show.When Chris is not on the road and has a little down time, he spends it with his family and friends.
