Hello!
My name is Natalie Rix.
With my work I like to experiment with different processes, outlooks and techniques to express whatever I'm exploring. I like to try new things and throw myself out of my comfort zone. I love messing with materials, text and pretty much everything I can lay my hands on.
I have a sort of urgency with my work. I tend to make things on the spur of the moment, even with my work that is structured and planned out; the method of how I work is really impulsive.
There's always the pressure of explaining every single thing about your work, the concept, the process, the reasons why, your defence etc. Sometimes I just like to make stuff for no reason at all, because I want to. Because I like to...
I also love to write articles and stories. I've written published articles for Krash magazine- a wolverhampton based teen magazine. I've also designed article layouts for London based magazine Flomotions, which promotes underground and upcoming musical talent. You can check out my work in my blogs if you wish.
