About Me

The name conjures up an image of a classic car outfitted with futuristic space technology. Originally a 3-piece funk and R&B band started by core members Johnny MegaWATT (lead guitarist), Frankie Belafonte' (drummer) and Fobby Valentino, Esq. (bassist), the group now boasts an 8 member lineup consisting of family and friends. (1 emcee=Bless, 2 soulful vocalists=Supafly Ladybug Maryanne & Tolua, 2 keyboardists=Mike Legend & Ely the Producer of Thirst4Worst Productions and their new drummer=Ms.Pinkey McBride). Rocket Powered Cadillac acquired their name from a song that lead guitarist Johnny MegaWATT wrote, which has now become their personal anthem and hana hou favorite. Combining their love of old school funk via Parliament, 90s era boom bap, hip-hop, R&B and a healthy dose of rock RPC has enjoyed playing downtown in the midst of the art, music and cultural renaissance that has made Honolulu thrive. It's been a blessing to work with artists within my genre of music as far as production and performing live as a keyboard player with my band"Rocket Powered cadillac"at venues in Honolulu, HI. Being a producer and bangin' out beats is one thing, but to play infront of a live audience that appreciates your music and what you got to bring to the table, is a timeless experience. Release therapy like no other. You've probably seen me at shows in the local hiphop scene not only having a good time but networking with people who has the same vision as I do in pursuing music as a career. Growing up I haven't had a clue about playing a role as a music producer/rap artist. The only thing I had was an ear and a passion for music. In all that I do as far as all this craziness, I'm still the same dude that loves to keep it real w/ my family, find time to kick it w/ friends and get into the word of God. That's priority. Without him things just don't seem right.
